On Friday, March 29, on 12:00, in the premises of Ukrainian Crisis Media Center (2 Khreshchatyk street), press conference on the topic “ Journalist Fikret Guseinli - hostage of Azrbaijan regime in Ukraine?” will be held.
Press conference participants:

Journalist Fikrat Guseinli, employee of Azerbaijan opposition channel “Turan TV” and newspaper “Azaldig” was detained on October 14, 2017, in the morning, in the airport “Boryspil”. The State Border Service gave as the reason of detention the fact that Guseinli is in the Interpol red list. Azerbaijan accuses him of fraud. In spite of numerous statements of international organizations about pressure against the opposition journalist, the extradition check-up for Guseinli lasts for half a year already, and he is unable to leave Ukraine and to return to the Netherlands, as he is the citizen of the latter country. On March 5, people wearing civilian clothing, who introduced themselves as Ukrainian police officers, tried to kidnap Fikret Guseinli in Kyiv in the apartment that he rents. Guseinli managed to escape by jumping out of the window.
