Manager of domestic Internet service provider is caught for assistance LNR militia

The Security Service of Ukraine notified the head of a national main communication provider of suspicion of assisting terrorists of the so-called LNR. SBU website informs.

According to a report, since August 2015 the criminal assisted in creation and functioning of “Luhansk Communications” illegal cellular communication provider that provided the militants of the so-called LNR with communications and Internet access.

To create the “Luhakom” network he entered into criminal conspiracy with his boss who in November 2016 was notified of suspicion of assisting terrorists by the SBU and was put on a wanted list. The criminal gave the militants a part of fiber-optic cables and equipment of the controlled provider that are located in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk region.

In the framework of the criminal case, the criminal was notified of suspicion under Part 1 Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Custody was enforced as a measure of restraint for the criminal. Investigative actions are under way.
