"Malyatko TV" director Ivan Kuzminsky killed in action in Luhansk oblast

Ivan Kuzminsky, 39, soldier and director of the TV channel for children "Malyatko TV", was killed in a battle with the Russian occupiers near Dibrova, Luhansk oblast, on May 17, reports the Berdychiv City Council.

Ivan Kuzminsky was born in Berdychiv. He took music classes in childhood and graduated the Kyiv Conservatory (now the P. I. Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine).

He defended his thesis, was a lecturer and studied for a PhD. He researched antique Ukrainian music, wrote academic articles about it. He also was a director at "Malyatko TV".

With the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, he went to fight on the frontline.

According to IMI, Ivan Kuzminsky is the 59th media worker who died as a result of Russia's aggression.
