Majority of Ukrainians wants an increased control over information on the Internet – survey
The majority of Ukrainians believe that the state should excercise more active control over the information on the Internet. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, commissioned by the OPORA Civil Network.
60% of respondents want more control, while 30% oppose this idea.
At the same time, 65% of respondents approve of the United News telethon as a method of forming a common perspective, while 17% do not share this opinion.
Moreover, the majority (60%) also wants the mass media to be able to reasonably criticize the actions of the government (32% are in favor of the media supporting the government's course).

The survey was conducted in July via phone interviews among respondents aged 18 and over, living in the territory controlled by Ukraine as of February 23, 2022; the sample size is 1,000 respondents.
