LifeNews complains to "LPR" leaders that on their controlled territory LifeNews journalist was kidnapped and humiliated

10.07.2015, 17:36

The editor-in-chief of the Russian TV channel LifeNews Anatoliy Suleimanov wrote a letter to the chief of the self-proclaimed “Luhansk People's Republic” Ihor Plotnitskyi with a request to “identify and punish kidnappers of our employee on the territory of LPR, and to return the stolen property of the media outlet”.

As the letter states, in the morning of June 27, when recording planned footage in the city of Luhansk, the LifeNews cameraman Kniazev Mykhailo Oleksandrovych was kidnapped by unidentified men wearing masks. The kidnappers brought Kniazev to some basement, and recorded humiliating footage with Kniazev, promising to publish it, and threatened the cameraman with violence.

A photocopy of the letter was published on the Internet.
