Law on e-declaration is published

Today, March 29 - the official newspaper of the Verkhovna Rada "Holos Ukrainy" (Voice of Ukraine published the law, under which members of the anti-corruption NGOs are required to submit electronic returns. The law will come into force the day after publication, on March 30, according to Ukrainski Novyny (Ukrainian news).

The Law obliges any individual and organisation engaged in anti-corruption work to fill out an electronic income declaration. In addition, the declaration applies to managers (members of the supreme management body) of associations and other non-business companies that carry out activities related to combat corruption.

Members of the anti-corruption NGOs shall specify information about the name of the program (project) of technical assistance in the declaration. The law, also, prescribes that information about volumes, types of wages, charity, provided to persons, who are involved in fighting corruption, can not be classified as restricted information.

The obligation for NGO representatives to fill in the e-declarations comes into force from the year 2018.
