Lavrov called Reuters operator a "moron" at the OSCE meeting

09.12.2016, 17:05

Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia insulted the operator of the international agency Reuters during a protocol meeting of the ministerial meeting of the OSCE.

Says the correspondent of "Europeyska pravda" (European truth)

The incident took place before the bilateral talks of Lavrov and his German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Dec.9.

Diplomats usually thank the press after capturing the protocol meeting, meaning the end of shooting, but one of the operators delayed a few seconds in order to capture ministers pass by the cameras.

Somehow it angered the chief of Russian diplomacy and he personally went to the media and addressed to them in English:  "What do you want? You can get out!"

Afterwards, looking at the media, Lavrov added "morons" in Russian.

The incident was filmed on camera and perturbed German media that highlight the summit.
