Lavra vicar Pavel called journalists "snoopers" and threatened them with "hundredfold reckoning"

21.09.2015, 01:55

A vicar of Sviato-Uspensky Kyiv Pechersk Lavra (Moscow Patriarchy) metropolitan Pavel recorded a video address to the public, where he complained about journalists of the TV channels "1+1" and "2+2", who "are chasing him around Lavra territory", TSN informs. In his address, Pavel accused journalists of exaggerated attention to his person. The wave of attention to the vicar started from his elite S-class Mercedes car, which he called "irrelevant" in his speech, and threatened them with "hundredfold retribution." The vicar has some history with journalists – earlier for several times, in particular, in 2011, 2012, he was obstructing journalists investigating his luxurious cars. In 2008, the vicar balloted for Kyiv city council membership from the Party of Regions.
