Last year, in Ukrainian media outlets 424 cases of hate speech registered

The NGO “Social Action Center” registered 424 cases of hate speech in Ukrainian media outlets during 2014. This is the report on the study “Hate speech and biases in Ukrainian mass media: monitoring, analysis, prevention”, conducted by the organization and presented on November 25, Media Sapiens reports. Most cases of hate speech were found in printed editions (173 cases), in online media outlets – 135, and on TV – 116. The peak of hate speech manifestations was in May of 2014.
