"Kyivstar" suffers a large-scale outage

The mobile operator "Kyivstar" suffered a large-scale outage in the morning of December 12, Ukrinform reports.

Users cannot make calls, send messages, or check their account.

They also have no Internet access and can not log into the "Kyivstar" app. The company's website is down.

"Diya" reported that in order to stay in touch while "Kyivstar" works on resolving the problem, one should:

• Open the Diya app while connected to home Wi-Fi to download their documents.
• Use national roaming, which allows you to switch between Kyivstar, Vodafone and lifecell without changing SIM cards and tariffs.

How to do it:

• Turn off automatic network selection (on Android: Settings – Mobile Network (or Connection) – Operator; on iOS: Settings – Mobile Data – Network Selection).
• Find and select an available network: Vodafone UA, UA-Kyivstar or Lifecell.
• If the connection fails, try again or select a different network.
• Check if you can make calls / send SMS.
