Kropyvnytsky TV channel "Viter" targeted by virus attack, all content destroyed

On the night of August 7 the Kropyvnytsky TV channel "Witer" (part of the media holding "Central Ukrainian News Bureau") was targeted by a powerful virus attack, as the director of media holding Vadym Murovany (on the photo) told, as to CBN. According to Murovany, the virus has damaged the server of the TV channel, destroying all the materials since the TV channel had been launched. “We lost all the content. The virus has corrupted the channel's main broadcast server. The biggest loss for us is the archive of programs of our own production: "The Exclusive", "# redhotchilipple", "Live cat" and others ", said Murovany. He added that now the technical service of the TV channel is doing everything possible to restore its full value functioning, and first of all, its own production. In an exclusive comment to a representative of the IMI in the Kirovograd region, the director of the media holding said there were no reasons to relate the virus attack with the media activity of the channel, but the final conclusions will be made after the expert opinion of the technical service of the channel. He promised the IMI correspondents would be familiarized with the findings of the experts.
