21.02.2017, 14:18

February 21, 2017, Pavlo Lisnichenko appealed to the mayor of Kropyvnytsk Andriy Raikovych, during the session of the Kropyvnytsk City Council.
Journalist read an appeal from the journalists' community about the need to resolve the issue with open data publicing on the official website of the City Council. Such publications provided by the 835th Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The study, conducted within the "Data Bridge / Apps4Cities" project, demonstrated that Kropyvytsk City Council ignores open data policy.

Information on the various areas of city life is contained in a closed access, when it must be publicly disclosed and available to the public without additional requests.

The journalists asked to issue a directive to the city council in order its compliance bwith regulations of the Cabinet of Ministers №835.
"In the absence of any positive developments on this issue by the end of February, we reserve the right to defend our legitimate rights by submitting the relevant claims into the court," - the journalists' statement says.
