Kirovohrad police refused to initiate case for assault against “Hrechka” journalist

Kirovohrad police refused to initiate a criminal case based on the complaint of the journalist of “Hrechka” portal, Valeriy Lebid, in relation to the assault against him, which took place on October 19, during the pre-electoral campaign event of the candidate from the Opposition Block. Lebid waited for police investigation to start for over a month, yet police official response states that “there was no considerable violation of public order” and “it is impossible to identify the attackers”. According to Lebid, this is the same treatment and the same wording as he received when on January 26, 2014, he was attacked by aggressive thugs from “Anti-maidan”.
