Kherson: deputy complained to mayor on journalists

27.03.2017, 15:16

Kherson, on March 24 during a meeting of extraordinary session of the City Council deputy from the faction "Our Land" Olga Marenchuk protested against content of the second series of the program "Est' predel" (There is a limit) aired on March 23, by regional TV channel "Scythia", Most reports.

"On TV, appeared a plot that humiliates an honor and dignity of the deputy of the city council and former mayor of the city Vladymyr Saldo. Faction "Our Land" expresses resentment to such actions by journalists, and refers to mayor (Vladymyr Mykolayenko - Ed.). We ask to respond to this information, give it evaluation and contribute for further assertion of rights and dignity of people,"- Marenchuk said.

According to the publication, the second serial of TV "Est' Limit" tells the despoilment of Communal Property in Kherson, and such famous personalities as Vladymyr Saldo, Ihor Pastukh and Vitaly Bohdanov had been involve in it.
Deputy from Opposition bloc Yuri Mariev supported Olga Marenchuk, and offered to give the floor to the author of "Est' Limit" Sergiy Nikitenko, who was in the hall, but the deputies did not put the issue to a vote.

In comments to IMI, Sergiy Nikitenko said he doesn't understand exactly how he and his team have provoked deputy Saldo, as they are listed items that Saldo managed to get into ownership as mayor.
"I do not understand the reaction of MPs in our material. We offered Vladimir Saldo to provide comments, but he avoided it. He disappeared after I told him about what I want to talk. So we published the story without comment. He promises to provide me with copies of documents in the near future. These documents, allegedly, refute the information mentioned in the story. I promised to publish them, "- Nikitenko said.
Public organization "Agency of public journalism MIST" makes program "Est' Limit". The author and presenter of the program is a local journalist Sergiy Nikitenko.
