Kharkiv provider blocks "Vechirnia Uman" on Roskomnadzor request

On Jan.23, access to the information portal "Vechirnia Uman" (Evening Uman)(vch-uman.in.ua) was blocked by provider of unlimited hosting at the request Roskomnadzor and Prosecutor General's Office. Editor of the website, Volodymyr Hamalytsya told about it on his page in Facebook and confirmed this information to IMI.

According to him, office of Anlim company that provides service to the site, is located in Kharkiv. "I didn't know that Ukrainian companies should comply with the Russian prosecutor's office", - said Volodymyr Hamalytsya.

Company sent the following message to a site admin: "Account locates at domain (vch-uman.in.ua), where were placed materials tend to be blocked by Roskomnadzor. Currently, domain detached from the account. Please do not add it without the complete elimination of problems (404th error). It is impossible for account to produce such an activity, that is why, unfortunately, we have limit its work. Please, take urgent measures to stop violations, come in and explain the situation."

Hoster also sent a message from Roskomnadzoru to the editor. Russian regulator wrote in a message about restricting access to the information source "Vechirnia Uman" (Evening Uman) as one of "information and telecommunication networks, including the network "Internet", based on the requirements of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation of 12.03.2015 №27-31-2015 / Id831- 15 itself, which contains calls to mass disorder, realization of extremist activity, participation in mass (public) events hold in order to violate of the established order. "

Volodymyr Hamalytsya said in the comments to IMI, that the edition has received several warnings from Roskomnadzor demanding to remove some materials.
"When we wrote about the battle of Donetsk airport, involving "Pravy sector", we repeatedly received warnings to remove material from Roskomnadzor. We paid no attention to them. And now hoster disabled us,"- the editor said.

At the same time, Volodymyr Hamalytsya noticed that the portal didn't has individual IP. "And now it turns out that Roskomnadzor with turning off our website, turns and other sites based on this IP. And hoster does not want sited to have problemlems like this and turn off too "Ukrainian" websites. Therefore - patriotic and Ukrainian site - it's very expensive. Because you need to have a separate server and pay in 6-8 times more than others"- he said.

Volodymyr Hamalytsya is preparing the appeal on the block for law enforcement officers and SBU.
