Judges extended detention term for Memedeminov until June 15th

The Supreme Court of Crimea (under the control of Moscow) has extended the term of detention for Nariman Memedeminov, 36, until June 15th, activist and blogger, as to Crimea.Reality (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty). The defence lawyers are going to file an appeal against this decision. IMI informed that on March 22, 2018 the law enforcement bodies of Russia detained in Symferopol the Tatar activist and blogger Memedeminov on charge of public appeals through the internet to commit terroristic acts. IMI informed the judge prolonged the arrest of Nariman Memedeminov, civil journalist and blogger, who is charged with “propaganda of terrorism” until March 16th. On April, the Kyiv district court in Simferopol (Crimea) has restricted the time available for reading the criminal case papers for Crimean Tatar blogger Nariman Memedeminov.
