In the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, the security measures have been strengthened and the work of TV channel representatives on the sidelines has been restricted, as to the Ukrinform correspondent in Strasbourg informed before the summer session of the PACE on Monday.
Under these restrictions the video recording is authorized only in a specific area. Every TV channel that has been accredited has its own well-designated place. At the same time, the TV crews are placed according to its nationality.
In this way, journalists will be limited to working in the so-called dynamic stream.
According to unofficial information, the motives of such a decision are to prevent rows, like that one that occurred with the journalist of Russia 24 Olga Skabeyeva.
On June 24-28, next summer session of the PACE will be held in Strasbourg.
The main issue of the agenda of the meeting may be the abolition or significant restriction of the sanction mechanism of the Assembly, which would return the Russian delegation to PACE.
Russia was deprived of the right to vote in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in April 2014 in response to the occupation of Crimea and aggression against Ukraine.
