Journalists of Zaporizhzhya now have limited access to Oblast State Administration building - administration developed "passport of anti-terrorist security"

28.07.2015, 01:55

The journalist of Zaporizhzhya media outlet "Industrialka" and several of her colleagues were denied access to the building of the Oblast State Administration during a press conference of the oblast administration head, Hryhoriy Samardak, which was held on July 24. Even as the journalists presented their IDs, "Industrialka" reports, the outside security demanded a special "passport of anti-terrorist security" that was supposed to be provided in the oblast council. Still, as they discovered later, the oblast council had little to do with dispensing this document, as it was supposed to be signed by Samardak himself (introduction of the special pass was approved by the oblast council, initiated by the Security Service of Ukraine). At the press-conference itself, according to the local media outlet "Vsia Vlast", Mr. Samardak refused to answer the questions of the journalists that he did not like.
