Journalists of Sumy request Avakov to facilitate transparency of information on re-certification of police officers

Employees of the branch of the National TV Company of Ukraine “Sumy regional directorship” (UA:Sumy) request that the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov facilitate in opening access to information about the results of re-certification tests by the officers of the Chief Administration of National Police in Sumska oblast. The journalists sent a letter to the Minister to that effect, Dankor reports.

In particular, the journalists request publication of points for each test of each officer, and the results of interviews.

The letter also mentions that concealing such information promotes lack of trust of general population to police officers, and raises suspicion that officers are being assigned and fired based on non-professional considerations.

The media outlet also reminds that the results of re-certification of prosecutors were published on the same day.
