Journalists of Berdiansk appeal to law enforcers to protect them from attackers

Journalists of Berdiansk complain about threats and attacks against them in the last 10 days, and demand the law enforcement agencies, in particular, the local prosecutor's office, to take actions for prosecution of illegal actions of the attackers, to secure protecting the rights and legal interests of the city journalists. This statement was released as an open letter of the mass media of Berdiansk to the Prosecutor General of the country Yuriy Lutsenko, prosecutor of Zaporizka oblast O. Shatskyi, and the chief  of the local Berdiansk prosecutor's office, A. Butenko.

The journalists complain about numerous threats they received in the last 10 days and attacks against them that started after the activist of the project "Army of Dignity" Vitaliy Oleshko published an entry with reference to the video showing arson of the office of the channel "Inter", and hinting that the same can happen to the TV channel of Berdiansk. Later, the filming crew of the channel was attacked near the city rayon court.

The address was signed by the employees of several local TV channels.
