Journalists of Akhmetov’s "Channel 34 " said Ukrainian fighters threatened them with guns

20.12.2014, 13:45

The journalist of Dnipropetrovsk «Channel 34» said that on December 16 they received threats from armed Ukrainian fighters of “Dnipro-1” and “Right Sector” military formations at one of checkpoints near Kurakhovo. The press officer of the regiment “Dnipro-1” Vasilisa Trofimovych denies threats: “Even if they said some rude things, these were only words. Our soldiers were not pointing their guns at unarmed people”.
“Channel 34” is owned by Akhmetov’s media group, and recently they covered the conflict concerning delivery of humanitarian aid to Donetsk. The volunteer batallions claim that Akhmetov sponsors terrorists supplying them “humanitarian aid”, Akhmetov’s organizations deny this.
