Employees of music channels require investigation of arson

13.02.2017, 16:05

Employees of music channels M1 and M2 demand to find and punish the perpetrators and customers of two arson attempts on studio channels, which occurred on January 27 and February 10. The emplyees wrote it in a statement they sent to the Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, head of the SBU Vasyl Grytsak, Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, the head of the National Council on Television and Radio Yuriy Artemenko and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Policy Viktoria Sumar, "Media Detector" reports.

"We would like to draw your attention that all cases of attacks on television accompanied with filming of the participants, and videos are on YouTube. It is a short path to find the organizers of all these sad events in the current digital age, in case you are professionals. Professionalism of law enforcement structures - the only thing that can counter the arrogance of those, who are using patriotic slogans and claim to be totally unpunished. They perceive freedom as the right to do despicable acts, freedom gained by hundreds of thousands of dead Ukrainians,"- journalists wrote in a letter.

Employees of M1 and M2 are calling arson attacks on the studios, as a terror and demand to find and punish not only the perpetrators but also the customers of these acts.
