Journalists in Sovyansk freeze their work due to harassment and threats

The journalists in Slovyansk in Donetska oblast had to freeze their activities. Chief editor of the local newspaper “Slavianskie vedomosti” Oleg Zontov told about this in his comment.

According to him, on the streets of the city it is dangerous to appear carrying a camera, and on the newspaper kiosks, there are signs «No local press available».

The journalists in the city, even the local ones, are being intimidated and forced out of the city by the separatists.
