29.01.2013, 13:09
On January 28, 2013, journalists were not allowed to attend the meeting of the Public Council at the Odessa Regional State Administration, Vzglyad iz Odessy Internet-edition reported.
According to a Vzglyad journalist, only “those selected” were allowed at the meeting. In particular, the organizers refused to allow the chief editor of Odessa Daily web portal, referring to the fact that "only one person from one edition may enter." People who conducted the registration of public figures and journalists refused to introduce themselves.
Only after a long quarrel and a statement to the police about hampering professional journalists' activities, some “unwanted” journalists were allowed to enter.
