Journalists calculated how much Rivne residents pay for commissioned materials of city authorities

Last year, officials and council members of Rivne city council had a budget for advertising themselves in local mass media worth 240 thousand hryvnias. It was reported in the report for council member commissions of the city council published in January of 2015 by the Department of Informational and Analytical Support, “Chetverta Vlada” reports.

As the media outlet notes, these funds will be used for advertisement of activities of the mayor, city officials, and city council members, which are in fact commissioned materials in mass media paid by local tax-payers. For 2016, the city council intends to approve similar expenses worth over 2 million hryvnias.
