Journalists ask Hroisman not to restrict their access to Coordinating Board

19.03.2016, 12:56

About 50 mass media representatives are asking the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Volodymyr Hroisman, not to allow passing of the motion on restriction of their access to the Parliament and rendering some events in the Parliament closed for press. They published an open letter about this addressed to the speaker, “Detector media” reports.

In particular, they are concerned about restrictions imposed on coordination boards effectively rendering them closed for press. The address was signed by 46 journalists representing TV channels “1+1”, STB, NewsOne, Espreso.TV, Channel 5, UBR, “Inter”, “24”, “112 Ukraina”, ZIK, information agencies UNIAN, “Interfax”, UNN, LigaBiznesInform, “Radio Vesti”, and other media.

They already handed the letter to Volodymyr Hroisman and to the Parliamentary Committee on the issues of freedom of press and information-related activities.
