Journalists and community representatives limited in visiting sessions of Cherkasy city council

Not more than two representatives of each media outlet, and only with ID from editorial office, will be able to visit the sessions of Cherkasy city council. The amendment to the standing order of the city council sessions was offered on December 11 at the second session by deputies form election union “Cherkashchany” ("Cherkasy dwellers"), УНН reports. In addition, community representatives now will have to undergo registration in special department.

After discussion, the amendment was approved in spite of some voices against such limitations. Now, the standing order will need to be approved by city mayor, Anatoliy Bondarenko.
