Journalist Yuriy Leliavskiy returned to Lviv from separatists' captivity
A Lviv journalist and ZIK freelance correspondent Yuriy Leliavskiy was released from captivity in Sloviansk (Donetsk oblast) on May 9, and on May 12 he returned to Lviv and gave a press conference. Yuriy Leliavskiy went to Sloviansk to prepare materials for the media holding ZIK and the agency «RIA Novyny». According to him, he was detained in an hour after he arrived to the city. On his way to the city council to get local accreditation he was demanded to show his documents and when the patrol saw his registration in Lviv he was detained. He spent in separatist captivity 15 days. He was kept in the basement of the local department of the Security Service of Ukraine in different cells. He was blindfolded with an adhesive tape, he was fed twice a day and was not tortured.
