Photo credits: Presidential official website[/caption] The President Volodymyr Zelensky appointed Iuliia Mendel his press secretary, respective decree № 350/2019 was signed by the President on June 3, as to the Presidential administration website. “If you want changes — make them. I am glad to join Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s team. We will do everything possible to be as open to the media and society as we can,” Iuliia Mendel commented on her appointment. Iuliia Mendel, 32, came to final stage of the competition in which about four thousand persons took part in. She studied journalism in Kyiv, participated in journalistic training at the Yale University in the United States, worked for ICTV, Espresso TV and Inter TV channels. For several years, she is working for The New York Times. She wrote for Ukrainian Forbes and US Politico.
