Journalist of Channel 7 injured in fight at construction site in Odesa

On August 2, journalist of Odesa-based Channel 7 got injured in a fight at one of construction sites in Odesa, at Fontanska Doroha Street. The conflict was between two local community organizations " Odesa Community Defense" (which was representing the local community) and " Maidan Community Defense" (which defended the developer), relating to the legality to develop the area where the construction site was set. Journalists suffered from tear gas and smoke bombs; in addition, the journalists were threatened for recording the events.

Earlier, the local community has been raising the issue of the dubious way the developer obtained permits to build there.
