Journalist from Chernivtsi complained to Ombudsman on Human Rights about environment department, Oblast State Administration, that ignored his request

The journalist of the web portal «Bukinfo» and UNIAN staff correspondent Volodymyr Zvenihorodskyi filed a complaint to the High Commissioner on Human rights about the Department of Environment and Tourism of Chernivetska Oblast State Administration, for failing to respond to his information request within a month. Zvenihorodskyi notified the IMI regional correspondent about this.

According to the journalist, as early as on August 20 he requested from the Environment Department information on the number of tourists, tourism sites in the oblast, and on other issues. Yet, by September 18 he still did not get any response. So he filed a complaint to the High Commissioner on Human Rights to bind the Department to respond and to bring the officials who failed to respond to responsibility.
