Journalist Day Press Conference

On June 6, 10 a.m., on the Journalist Day, in the premises of the National Museum of History of Ukraine (Volodymyrska 2, Kyiv), NGO “Institute of Mass Information” holds a press conference “Freedom of speech in Ukraine. Current situation and challenges”.

The event will outline the major trends and challenges in the media sphere this year, as well as present evaluation of the state of freedom of speech in Ukraine prepared by NGOs (with numbers and facts).

During the press conference, a photo exhibition showing the journalists’ work will open. The exhibition will be held in the premises of the National Museum of History of Ukraine, IMI’s partner.

He press conference participants will include: the vice executive director of the Institute of Mass Information Roman Holovenko, head of IMI’s freedom of speech monitoring department Kateryna Diachuk, head of board of NGO “Detector Media” Natalia Lyhachova, head of NGO “Nashi Hroshi” Oleksa Shalayskyi and representative of the British fund supporting freelance journalists “Rory Peck Trust” Mary O’Shea.
