Izyum: editors work under the pressure of threats for 3 years
Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, chief editor of "Obrii Izyumschyny" (Horizons of Izyum city) (Izyum city, Kharkiv oblast) Konstantin Hryhorenko said that since 2014 the editors office faces constant threats and aggression. He told this during a regional debate in Kharkiv "Journalists' safety: basic standard of free media." "Detector media" reported it, referring to the NUJU press service.
According to Hryhorenko, at first newspaper received threats from people because they had expressed pro-Russian sentiment mostly.
Now, the situation has changed, and ATO veterans are critical of the newspaper because the publication allegedly promotes "Ruskiy mir" (Russian world).
Hryhorenko reported that the editors office had to turn to the media lawyers in Kyiv, for the expertise. According of the chief editor, examination showed no violations.
