"Inter" says masked individuals stoned their office
The TV channel "Inter" stated that its office was attacked. Masked people - around 20 of them - were throwing stones and bricks into the office entrance, breaking lobby windows on the first floor. None of the channel employees was injured. Several attackers were detained by Ukrainian police.
The scandal related to the channel emerged after it broadcast a New Year concert where several Russian singers participated, who before publicly supported the separatists in the East of Ukraine. The channel claims that it never broke Ukrainian law, yet the government officials, in particular, the Secretary of the Council of National Security, Oleksander Turchinov, said that the channel's license should be revoked for anti-Ukrainian activities. The channel representatives call the turmoil around this concert fabricated and "artificial".
