"Inter" requests Poroshenko to protect channel from pressure
The TV channel “Inter” asked the President of Ukraine to intervene into the situation related to the events that took place on February 25 near the building where the channel's office is located, when the activists of the regiment “Azov” blocked the building. This is the essence of the channel's petition.
In the petition, the channel complains about physical blocking of the building that caused problems in operation of filming crews, as well as psychological pressure caused by the action.
The action was held in response to the channel's producer, Russian citizen Maria Stoliarova, interrupting a live interview with relatives of people who were shot at Maidan two years ago with a rude and obscene demand to finish it, which caused the general public outrage. Yet, it was just one of the faults of the channel in the eyes of the activists. They demanded the channel to "get rid of Kremlin censorship."
