"Inter" claims National Council pressures it, prepares to sue

20.02.2015, 20:27

The TV channel «Inter» published a statement, in which calls the decision of the National Council on TV and Radio Broadcasting to give the TV channel the second warning a raider policy. The TV channel is preparing a lawsuit and intending to complain to the General Prosecutor's Office.

The TV channel deems the inspection (based on which the second warning was announced) of the National Council illegal, and also considers that it receives warnings that are “doubtful from the legal point of view and quite clear from the political one”. The channel insists that the inspection and the warning that followed are aimed to suppress freedom of press, and is prepared to defend itself in the court - it already filed a court claim for cancellation of the warning by the National Council.
