Inhabitants of "amber" part of Volyn obstruct journalists

On September 23, about half a hundred people who said they were residents of Manevytskyi rayon in Volynska oblast, blocked a car carrying journalists, VolynPost informs.

According to the media outlet's journalist, they were threatened and local residents attempted to stop the recording they crew was conducting. The head of Volynska State Administration Volodymyr Hunchak was booed with words "Shame! Where have you been before? Whom were you covering up?!". Police managed to make a corridor for the car with journalist and for the head of Oblast State Administration in some time, and they passed. The authorities and the journalists appeared came to the site due to protests of local people, who demand to allow them to mine for amber.
