Independent Media Trade Union of Ukraine demands to start criminal case on forgery of journalist IDs for elections in Chernihiv

The Independent Media Trade Union of Ukraine demands to start a criminal case due to the fact of forgery of IDs of media outlet representatives.

«IMTUU condemns the use of journalist IDs in political manipulations. In addition, we demand to bring these people to responsibility... », said the IMTUU vice head, member of the organization's board, senior legal advisor Oleksander Tarasov.

As it was informed earlier, in Chernihiv on July 26, members of NGO «Committee of Voters of Ukraine» identified 20 fake journalists with forged IDs of "Tochka Zoru" media outlet (that formerly belonged to the Committee of Voters of Ukraine. Currently, the head of the board of KVU claims that the IDs are forged and the people bearing them do not represent the media outlet. The NGO representatives handed the identified fake journalists over to police.
