The Independent media council and the National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council of Ukraine do not consider regulation of the TV channels' content a case of censorship. Based on results of the meeting, the Independent Media Council came to a common vision of the necessity to regulate the content and proposed some practical recommendations. This was the subject of the public discussion on July 5 of the media council on the topic “Audiovisual content: regulate or not?”, “Detector media” reports.

The discussion was also attended by representatives of public media organizations, international institutions, and journalists.
