In Zhytomyrska oblast, man who posted Facebook materials in support of "DPR" will face trial

The Prosecutor's office of Zhytomyrska oblast approved and sent to court the indictment on the criminal procedure based on the fact of promotion of activities of a terrorist organization by the resident of Zhytomyr, based on part 1, Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This information was published on the website of the prosecutor's office of Zhytomyrska oblast.

“A resident of the city of Zhytomyr is suspected of creation, in the social network of Facebook, of the webpage “Zhytomyr People's Guards”, where he, during 2014-2015, disseminated information of anti-Ukrainian nature, in support of "DPR", and published other materials, taken from the Russian propaganda mass media”, the message of the prosecutor's office reads.

The pre-trial investigation is conducted by the local department of the Security Service of Ukraine. The punishment for the mentioned offense under the quoted Article is 8 to 15 years of imprisonment.
