In Vinnytsia, journalists protested demanding to investigate beating of their colleague from Vlasno.info

On August in Vinntysia, local journalists set up a performance action “Bloodied truth”, demanding to find and to punish the thugs who beat the correspondent of Vlasno.info Bohdan Novak as he was video recording protests against construction of cemetery near Sabariv city, Vlasno.info reports.

The action took place in the center of the city. The journalists came to the city hall holding banners “Morgunov, stop beating people”, “Who will answer for beating of “Vlasno” journalist?”, “Prysiazhniuk, who beat Novak?”.

They poured improvised "blood" - red paint - onto a stack of newspapers, this was symbolizing how journalists suffer for truthfully covering events. The action was attended by the staff of Vlastno.info, journalist Inga Fliazhnikova, and civil activists.

As IMI reported before, on August 29 unidentified men have beaten the journalist of website Vlasno.info Bohdan Novak as he was trying to cover protests against building of the cemetery near Sabariv district.
