In Sumy, journalist receives threats because of publication about illegal gas fuel stations

24.02.2016, 23:40

In Sumy, the journalist of the Internet media outlet “Dankor” Olena Adamenko received a threat related to her coverage of the work of illegal gas stations. On February 23, she received an e-mail with threats, “Dankor” informs. The journalist's earlier coverage was about two illegal gas stations "protected" by local corrupt police officers. According the director of channel "UA:Sumy" Mykola Chernotytskyi, Adamenko addressed the Security Service of Ukraine with a complaint about the threat as she does not trust the local police to handle it. The channel plans to publish one more story covering the topic on February 24.
