In Slovyansk, two female journalists from Kyiv beaten and robbed

In the town of Slovyansk, Donetska oblast, two local cafe workers assaulted two female journalists representing central TV channels, after a local barman stole the cell phone of one of the journalists, which sparked the conflict.

The journalist left the cell phone unattended for several minutes, and when they returned and tried to figure out what happened and who took the phone, a conflict ensued with two cafe employees. Eventually, the journalists sustained light injuries in the fight. Police discovered the thief ­– a 24-year-old barman who was an ex-convict. The cell phone was returned to the owner, the criminal case investigation against the cafe workers is pending.
