In Slovyansk, American journalist Simon Ostrovsky taken hostage

In Slovyansk, the separatists detained the journalist of the American media outlet Vice, Simon Ostrovsky. This is the declaration of self-proclaimed “mayor” of Slovyansk Vyacheslav Ponomarev during his press-conference, Gazeta.ru informs.

According to the Ponomarev, the journalist has double citizenship – the US and Israel.

For the context, on April 21 in the morning, there was information that pro-Russian activists took as prisoners two Italian journalists – Paul Gogo and Cossimo Attansio, and belorussian reporter, Dmitriy Galka. Later it became known that they were released.

Also, according to mass media reports, the journalists Irma Krat and Serhiy Lefter are still being held in the city.
