20.05.2015, 01:00

On May 18, in Simferopol, two journalists of the Russian media outlet «For human rights» were detained, the Center for Journalist Investigations informs.

The journalists – Kateryna Lysenko and Olkesiy Russkikh – were interviewing participants in the park near the railroad station, where a traditional gathering in memory of the deportation of Crimean Tatars was held. Police came up to the journalists and asked them to follow the police officers. The reasons of the detainment were not specified.

Both journalists were released later the same day after several hours of interrogation about their work.
