13.05.2014, 12:13

In Simferopol, men in camouflage with Russian military insignia detained the filming crew of Chornomoska TV and Radio Company. According to the president of Chornomoska TV and Radio Company Liudmyla Zhuravliova, unidentified men detained the journalist Daryna Kashyryna and operator Oleksiy Russkikh at the railway station, where the filming crew was waiting for their interviewees. The filming crew was waiting for the train and filming some B-roll footage. When the men in camouflage saw this, they detained the filming crew. The attackers started to ask what the crew was filming, and would not let them go until the TV and Radio Company managements comes for them, demanded to give them the footage, and insisted that the journalists show their accreditation to film at the railway station. They took away the camera by force and agreed to return it only if the journalists would give them the memory card. The police on site did nothing.
