In Rivnenska oblast, unidentified people beat journalists of ICTV channel

On May 17 in Rivnenska oblast, near Zirnenskyi distillery, unidentified men beat the filming crew of one of the central Ukrainian TV channels - ICTV. This information was reported at the website  of the Chief Administration of National Police in Rivnenska oblast.

A journalists from the crew called the police number “102” and reported the attack at about 2.30.

According to police, three men wearing camouflage clothes and balaklavas attacked the cameraman and the journalist. Two attackers chased the journalist, and the third one started beating the cameraman, threatening him with an object that looked like a gun. The police initiated a criminal case and is now investigating.  

The journalists wanted to get some footage for the story about unregistered production of alcohol that allegedly is taking place at the distillery for several years already.

According to ZIK, the journalists were preparing the material about the distillery that was scheduled for airing on May 23 in the program “More than truth”.
