In Rivnenska oblast, amber digger hit journalist

In Rivnenska oblast, when filming a news story about illegal amber digging the correspondent of the TV channel “Inter” in Rivne Inna Biletska was hit by an unidentified man. The incident took place on June 17, Hromadske reports.

As Biletksa informed, the man took offence to the camera operator starting to film. According to her, the amber digger tried to knock her phone out of her hand.

“He did not hit me hard. Just on the hand. But it is a typical behavior”, Biletksa said.

According to her, it was not the fist time she was attacked by amber diggers, but police never detained any of them.

The altercation took place not far from the Belorusian border.

IMI is investigating the circumstances of the incident.
