In Rivne, rector wants to sue journalists who investigated sexual harassment in his university

Rector of Rivne State Humanitarian University Ruslan Postolovskyi intends to sue the media outlet “Chetverta Vlada” and the journalist of the media outlet, Anna Kalaur, because of the investigation of sexual harassment of the university's professor Volodymyr Hodovskyi by the media outlet. this was reported at the media outlet's website. As the media outlet reports, Hodovskyi, who was the head of the Chair of Choreography for almost 20 years, resigned after their investigation. Ruslan Postolovskyi, the rector, confirmed that this professor resigned, and also said that he is very unhappy about it, and intends to sue the journalists. “They spit on me, and on the university, on the First Ukrainain  Channel. No evidence given there. We will sue you personally (journalist of “Chetverta Vlada”) and your company. then we will see. And Mr. Hodovskyi filed resignation papers. I need to find someone for this vacancy, choreography and production. Without this professor, we will have no Master's, no one else is there to teach, that's all the truth”, – the rector said. On November 15, the media outlet published the investigation, prepared for the project “Slidstvo.Info”, – “With word and body”. It also added an extended version in two days, including testimonies that were not included in the TV version. According to the investigation, 13 graduates, students and female professors reported about sexual harassment by the 70-year-old professor Volodymy Hodovskyi, who continues doing this for almost 20 years. Professor Hodovskyi claims all allegations against him to be a lie. In her comment for local IMI representative, Anna Kalaur said that she is ready to go to court, as she has evidence of what was reported.
