In Rivne, police officers did not allow journalist to be present at public court session

20.05.2015, 01:05

On May 16 in Rivne, police officers did not allow a journalist attend a court session in Rivne city court that was supposed to be open for general public. A local journalist Viktoria Mamotiuk informed about this on her Facebook page, the regional IMI correspondent reports. Police officers explained their behavior by the fact that the day was "a day off". The session was on the case of a chief of the village of Obariv Ivan Tymoshchuk, who is accused of bribery. Mamotiuk filed a request to local police bodies in order to clarify who exactly was obstructing the journalists.
